It could be a very sad day on Saturday 18 April when the Seasiders come to The Valley, as anything but an Addicks win will see Charlton sent down to League 1.
Is it too big a task after losing so many games this season for Charlton to win ALL their remaining games, whilst hoping results of the teams around them in the relegation zone go their way? I certainly think so.
So next season we will be visiting places like Hartlepool, Stockport and Southend instead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United from just a couple of seasons ago.....
I for one am at least looking forward to visiting Colchester United's new ground, having a close affinity with the club through their former Chairman, Peter Heard.
But of course we need to come straight back up, so for now, here's hoping....
