Greeks hold on for a draw

A great day great match. Charlton Vets were on form as they attacked from the whistle, Garry Nelson going just wide and Richard Wilson shooting from long range. Mark Robson and Leroy Ambrose were spraying the ball about so it looked like we would score any minute. The game was played at a very fast pace but we were always on top, but the Proteas goalkeeper was having a good day and stopping everything.

Half Time 0-0

In the second have the Greeks tired a bit and decided they shall not pass and reverted to a very good defensive display. We carried on attacking and had miss after miss. Our best chance fell to STEVE SUTHERLAND when a close range shot ended up in the side netting.

Mark Robson picked up the man of the match award at the  valley buffet after the game. It was a good day and evening All of us at the Former Players Association thank our sponsors SELCO BUILDERS for making this possible
